Introducing Autodesk Industry Collections

By Anna Liza Montenegro | BIM, CAD, Subscription

The way you design and build is changing rapidly, which also changes the tools you use and the ways companies and individuals buy and access software.
Starting on August 1, 2016, Autodesk is introducing industry collections as a way to get access to a wide collection of the most essential Autodesk software and services in one package with the choice of quarterly, annual or multi-year term lengths and single- or multi-user access. An Autodesk industry collection is a convenient and flexible way to access a wide selection of the most essential Autodesk software used in your industry for:

  • Architecture, Engineering & Construction
  • Product Design
  • Media & Entertainment

Which Autodesk desktop software products and cloud services are in the industry collections?

Autodesk Industry Collections - all

What if the product I need is not in my industry collection?
You can always subscribe to additional individual products in order to address your more specialized needs (i.e. Simulation, Data Management, etc.).

What are my options between now and when industry collections are available?
Until industry collections are available, we suggest you consider a Subscription to a Design & Creation Suite or Individual Product using the following options:

Quarterly, Annual or Multi-Year Subscription
Subscribe with confidence to an annual or multi-year subscription of a Design & Creation Suite and have the flexibility to switch to an industry collections subscription later on. Or get a short-term subscription to support your needs between now and the time Collections are available, and then simply subscribe to an industry collection any time after August 1, 2016.

Perpetual licence with a maintenance plan to a Design & Creation Suite
Perpetual licences of the Design & Creation Suites will be available for purchase until July 31, 2016. Customers who have a perpetual licence on a maintenance plan after July 31, 2016 will have the option to renew their maintenance plan for as long as they wish.

Will I be able to switch my subscription to an industry collection subscription?
Yes. Autodesk will provide a convenient way for you to switch your existing subscription(s) to an industry collection. In October 2016, you will be able to switch during your current subscription term.

With the new Autodesk industry collections, you’ll always have access to the latest software, with simple control over updates and access, a unified procurement cycle, and easier license management.
