The quality, schedule, cost, sustainability and safety benefits of prefabrication are well-established. The growing use of modular components for buildings and infrastructure work adds even greater efficiencies without impacting creative design. But over years of Dodge Data & Analytics research studies, contractors’ top obstacle to doing more of both is that projects aren’t specifically designed to facilitate optimizing these offsite approaches.
