Please note, there is an updated version of this blog post that you can view here: http://blog.microsolresources.com/2014/08/28/accessing-autodesk-support-and-granting-microsol-resources-autodesk-subscription-support-view-access/.

Autodesk Basic Support is one of the many benefits of being an Autodesk Subscription customer. It is designed for Subscription customers who need a minimal level of product support. Basic Support provides access to a range of community support forums, including responses from Autodesk within a stated time period and a comprehensive online knowledge base that includes troubleshooting videos.

All customers have access to an online knowledge base and community support forums, where Autodesk staff and experts within the community answer questions submitted by customers. Customers with Basic Support have their community forum posts escalated to the Autodesk product support team if the community does not respond to the question within 24 hours.

Subscription Customers can access Basic Support through Subscription Center here and through Autodesk’s online community support forums.

Log in to Subscription Center and you will see the following page:New Picture (2)

Under the bottom section titled Web Support, you will want to click Create a Support Case. When you submit a case, you can choose a “case type” most appropriate for your issue. Then, fill out the necessary information, whether it is regarding tech support, downloads, installation, registration or your subscription.

You can even apply a severity level depending on the urgency of your case. After it is submitted, Autodesk staff will get back to you within 24 hours.
