How to Find Recommended System Hardware (System Requirements)

By Anna Liza Montenegro | IT

There is a very useful tool located on the Autodesk website to help you find recommended system hardware or graphics hardware and drivers. All you need to do is fill in the necessary information according to what type of hardware you want to find, for which product and for which operating system. Click “Find” and the hardware meeting your criteria will be listed below.

Find Recommended Hardware

When filling out the criteria above, you are only given options available on the dropdown menu. Please be aware that not all drivers respond the same and the latest drivers from the manufacturer may not necessarily be the ones tested and certified by Autodesk. Only the ones found on this list are guaranteed to work properly with the software. If you have downloaded the latest driver from the manufacturer’s website, you may run into some problems while running the software.

Additionally, for Revit products, you can find specific recommendations on the Autodesk website. The recommendations are broken down into three categories: Minimum: Entry-Level Configuration, Value: Balanced price and performance, and Performance: Large, complex models. We personally recommend either the Value or Performance solutions. If there is a more specific solution you are looking for, please give us a call at 888-768-7568 and we can help you out.
