Putting together a BIM execution plan is a multi-step process that involves making sure all stakeholders contribute relevant information at the beginning of a project so that the expectations of all parties are appropriately set. As such, we generally proceed with a meeting, either online or in person, to establish the project goals and team capabilities, as well as review any requirements/standards provided by the client/entity specifying BIM use on the project. We seek to ensure that what is being expected of you as a consultant is reasonable while simultaneously validating your capabilities to meet those criteria so that you aren’t committing to something you cannot deliver on.
