This course will teach you how to take the fundamentals of creating and contributing to an online project in the BIM 360 DOCS platform, focusing on the Model Coordination module and various workflows for Revit collaboration in the cloud.
An introduction to BIM 360 Coordinate: In this session we will be logging into BIM 360 using Microsol Resources student licenses assigned to each student. We will explore the overall capabilities of BIM 360 and focus on the main module Design Coordination. We will discuss the Autodesk account and the process of license assignment, receiving an invitation from within your firm and from an outside partner.
The BIM 360 Design Interface: The students will be made aware of the integration of Autodesk Docs and Design. We will outline the benefits of an “All-in” project team. We will discuss BIM 360 Coordinate, how it integrates with Docs, the folder structure and workflows available.
Creating Coordination Folders and Spaces: We will discuss the roles of the project admins and the process of creating and activating coordination spaces, the association of spaces and folders within the Plans folder in Document Management.
Uploading Models for Coordination: The students will publish models and upload them into coordination folders for automatic view and clash creation. We will review the models and discuss viewing and managing clashes. The students will work with the models and filter models, contributor, company, and date. The class will view the clash grid and locate them in 3D. We will discuss clash grouping.
Assigning Clashes and Issues: Issues and issue management will be briefly discussed regarding those found within the clash results, focusing on the model coordination workflow.
