V-Ray Next for Revit is finally here!

V-Ray for Revit is a rendering plugin that lets you create professional-quality images directly from Revit models. It helps you explore, present your design and make critical design decisions at every stage of the design lifecycle- from schematic design, through design development and construction documents to the final polished marketing materials. When it comes to quality, it can be tailored to any requirements along the design process, helping you achieve the highest level of realism.

With V-Ray Next for Revit, it’s quick and easy to create great-looking renders straight from Revit. With better performance, new V-Ray Scene Intelligence, improved asset management and simpler workflows, V-Ray for Revit is more powerful than ever before.

IMPROVED WORKFLOW

Maximum creative control, minimum effort.

The intuitive Asset Editor manages your materials in one place and features new, advanced materials. Add variety to scene entourage, such as plants and trees, by randomizing proxy objects. Plus, the new and powerful asset-management features will help streamline your workflow.

ENHANCED REVIT INTEGRATION

Natural, streamlined design workflow that leaves more room for design.

V-Ray Next naturally extends and complements your Revit workflow without altering the BIM database. With support for Decals you can add images to paintings, signs, screens and more. The new V-Ray Toolbar and improved V-Ray management settings will also speed up workflow.

SCENE INTELLIGENCE

Smart and fast lighting for significantly improved interior scene setup.

Lighting your interior scenes is even faster with the new Adaptive Dome Light. Accurate Lighting Analysis makes it easy to visualize real-world illumination values in any scene. Plus, benefit from improved background image settings and all-new Auto Exposure and White Balance settings.

V-Ray Next for Revit Licensing information

Only customers with a V-Ray 3 for Revit license will be eligible to upgrade to V-Ray Next for Revit. Upgrades to V-Ray Next for Revit will be provided with Online Licensing (OLS) only. Customers with dongles who wish to upgrade should be migrated to the Online Licensing (OLS).

Note that V-Ray Next for Revit works only with V-Ray Next Render Node licenses.

FREE UPGRADES

Perpetual licenses- Clients who purchased a new V-Ray 3 for Revit license after September 25, 2019will receive V-Ray Next for Revit free of charge. All licenses will be automatically upgraded to version Next and customers will be able to download the new builds from the Chaos Group website.

Term licenses- Clients with active V-Ray 3 for Revit monthly and annual licenses at the time of the V-Ray Next for Revit release will receive the new version free of charge. All licenses will be automatically upgraded to version Next and customers will be able to download the new builds from the Chaos Group website.

Licensing and backward compatibility

Upgrading to V-Ray Next for Revit allows you to use either V-Ray Next for Revit or V-Ray 3 for Revit. V-Ray 3 for Revit Workstation licenses will work with V-Ray Next Render Node licenses, so if you are using V-Ray 3 for Revit (or other platforms) you can also render with V-Ray Next Render Node licenses.
